BW Offshore and LATTICE International have agreed on a term sheet to jointly develop cost-efficient, large-scale Floating Storage and Injection Units (FSIUs) for liquefied CO2. This strategic collaboration aims to accelerate industrial-scale decarbonization and support the global energy transition.
The partnership will combine BW Offshore’s proven expertise in delivering fit-for-purpose floating production and storage assets with LATTICE’s breakthrough LPV pressure vessel technology. The LPV offers unique advantages over conventional cylindrical tanks, including improved volumetric efficiency and design flexibility.
Together, the parties seek to develop and set a new standard for optimized FSIU designs tailored to bulk LCO2 handling. These units are intended to serve industrial emitters and the emerging CCS value chain. The collaboration is designed to unlock economies of scale and cost efficiencies that are essential for enabling the next phase of industrial decarbonization.
