A truly unique solution for all liquified gases and future energy carriers

Pressure is no match for the LPV!

Pressure is no match for the LPV!

Pressure loading

The pressure loading capabilities of the LPV are enabled by the internal lattice structure. Pressure loads are distributed between the transverse tension panels, longitudinal tension beams, and the stiffened outer shell, preventing all loads from being taken by the tank shell alone.

The LPV can easily handle tank design pressures of 30+ barg, accommodating the whole range of scenarios from cryogenic temperature and ambient pressure to higher temperature and medium pressure storage.

Sloshing and free-surface effect are reduced by the internal lattice structure, decreasing the dynamic loads on the tank and support structures.

Up to 50% higher volume utilization with the flexible LPV design

Flexible

The internal lattice structure allows for limitless flexibility of the tank design, enabling a new design approach for ship- and onshore infrastructures. The free shape and size of the LPV allow engineers and designers to maximize volume utilization within any given space, getting more out of every available cubic meter.

Design your containment system to hold more volume within the same space or reduce the space required to hold a given volume. Enable increased payload or increased operability – whichever has the greatest impact on your business case!

Scalable

With the internal lattice structure, the shell thickness is no longer proportional to the volume and design pressure, enabling tank scalability to any size and design pressure while keeping the overall plate thicknesses and weight down.

Scalable design facilitates larger volume per tank, leading to fewer tanks and a leaner containment system. As the amount of auxilliary equipment and systems is directly related to the number of tanks, the LPV containment solution will reduce both CAPEX and OPEX and improve your overall business case!

Efficient Fabrication Process

The repetitive structure and composition of LATTICE tanks enables a high level of automation and efficiency throughout  the fabrication process. All the main parts – stiffened tension panels, tension beams, and stiffened outer shell plates – are welded and prepared separately, then assembled into blocks before the main assembly of the entire tank structure takes place. With up to 75% automated welding, combined with relatively thin plate thicknesses, the total system cost is comparable to that of same-volume cylindrical or bilobe solutions.

All LPV tanks are designed, fabricated and tested according to relevant rules and regulations for onshore or maritime applications. LATTICE works with renowned fabricators around the globe to provide our clients complete control over quality, cost competitiveness, and flexibility as to where the LPV tanks are to be manufactured and delivered, whether at the end client itself, or their designate shipyard for integration.
